Okay so fun fact, my love for crochet actually started with my mom. She used to crochet little dresses for all my Cabbage Patch Kids, and I was in love.
That spark never really went away! I went through my phases of sewing dresses, then knitting hats and shawls but the moment I picked up a crochet hook, I just knew… that was it for me.
The bikini designs? That chapter started in Dubai back in 2013, where 365 days of summer and stunning Middle Eastern beaches had me combining crochet with coastal living. That’s how The Knotty Lace came to life as a made-to-measure bikini studio.
From 2018 onwards, I started sharing free patterns and video tutorials beyond swimwear, from cardigans to dresses, you name it. I also invested time in ensuring all patterns come in all sizes XS – 5XL because why not 🤷🏻♀️…
These days you’ll find me nestled among the tall pines of the PNW, which let me tell you is basically made for cozy yarn sessions and misty morning crafting.
When I’m not webbing yarn into something fabulous, I’m wrangling my 2 boys and spending time with my husband who by the way started all of this by buying me my very first crochet hook 😄.
