If you are wondering what exactly is a crochet chevron pattern? The word Chevron means a figure, pattern, or object having the shape of a V or an inverted V.

In crochet language, Chevron is a continuous line of the repetitive V stitched into a zig-zag form. By increasing and/or decreasing the number of stitches in the pattern that forms into the shape of a V.
There you have it. Can you count how many times I’ve mentioned the letter V?

DESIGN INSPIRATION

Crochet bikini bottom styles are limitless. And the current trend (I do believe) is to wear them high rise and cheeky at the back.

Hence I wanted the V shape to accentuate the high rise of the bikini when the sides are pulled up to the waist or sitting low on the hips.

Whichever way you prefer to wear it, this style will surely bring attention to anyone who wears it.

This Chevron bikini bottom pairs really well with any bikini top. Or how about a cropped sweater for those chilly days!

DESCRIPTION

Starting from a single shell stitch, we will work our way around the shell while increasing at the tip. Both front and back pieces are worked individually in a similar fashion.

And because it is so cheeky, a stretchable and breathable yarn works best for this bikini bottom. Don’t forget, it should be able to also hold well in water.

I am using Cascade Fixation yarns for this bottom (and for most of my bikini patterns). It is a blend of cotton and spandex which makes it stretchy and perfect for the pool or the beach.

And speaking of yarn, a combo of two contrasting colors works best! I am using the colors in White and Fern.
