DESIGN INSPIRATION

For me, ideas come at the spur of the moment. From the colors in the air to the activities that we do. So I wanted a simple top that can be worn during day paired with a jacket, and that can also be carried throughout the evening, say for a sip of cocktail with the girls… And this top was just that – a no-brainer.

CONSTRUCTION

For this pattern, I was curious enough to try a new stitch! With one row of slip stitches, followed by another row of half double crochet between the post. And because of the nature of the stitch, your work may start to slant in one direction! LOL

I was a little nervous at first, but then I thought since I am working ” in the round” per se, then it shouldn’t really matter.

“So never say never until you’ve given it a shot!” 🙂

I also decided to add some texture to this edging with some cable stitches. And it turned out amazing! Plus it’s really not as hard as it looks. I promise!
